Private access to extensive, live scholarship links   (COMING SOON)

Although there are many free scholarship websites out there to help you with your search, I have found that I end up spending most of my time weeding out the ads, sweepstakes, contests and irrelevant content just to end up finding 5 or 10 true opportunities for scholarships.  Further, I have spent hours filling out all the information to register for these websites hoping that they would send me scholarship information specific to my child, only to realize that I’m still receiving hundreds of links with less than 1/10th of them being relevant or worth my child’s time and effort to complete.  Let’s cut through all the dead links and other stuff and find some money! My list is compiled from all the best leads from more than 20 sources and includes hundreds of scholarships grouped in the categories:

AZ Scholarships

Ethnicity based scholarships

Female scholarships

Merit Based (not based on need)

General links

I have spent well over 50 hours gathering this information in one place and I will continue to update these lists to keep them current and relevant to our students.

SAT Test Prep Packages

Test prep using khan academy online resources and one on one instruction.
4 weeks @  two times per week   $770.00
4 weeks @  three times per week $990.00

I work in 2 hr sessions 2 to 3 times a week, depending on how well the student works independently. The total length of the prep session will depend on how much time we have before the next test and how well the student progresses. Since the SAT has been revised, they are providing a wonderful, free resource through Khan Academy. This resource is available to study before and after the student has taken the SAT. Once they have taken the SAT, they can send their scores to Khan Academy online and the program will automatically develop a study program based on the strengths and weaknesses observed on the first test. My role would be to assist them in setting up the program, monitoring their progress and providing additional training on the reading and essay portions of the test. My observation has been that if the students are left to use this resource on their own, they don’t do as well as they do when there is someone to supervise and monitor their progress and make adjustments as needed. I can either consult with you and your student to get you started or I can take care of the entire prep for you.

ACT test prep packages

Test Prep using The Official ACT Prep Guide, from the makers of the ACT test. Because I will have to develop a custom program based on the individual student, ACT prep is a little more expensive. I work in 2 hr sessions 2 to 3 times a week, depending on how well the student works independently.  The total length of the prep session will depend on how much time we have before the next test and how well the student progresses.

4 weeks @  two times per week   $990.00
4 weeks @  three times per week $1200.00

In order to develop a successful and focused study plan, I first have to assess the student’s strengths and weaknesses.  I can either use his/her previous ACT test or I can administer a diagnostic test to determine what areas he/she needs to focus on.  In addition to providing general test taking tips and proven strategies, I would provide structured practice problems and mini tests so that the student will be better prepared for the actual test.  We will address each subject and practice mastering the concepts, with an emphasis on time management as the ACT in particular has challenging time constraints.
