Do you like making a difference in your school or community? If you do, DoSomething has many campaigns to make a difference, and for participating, you will be entered to win a scholarship! Below are campaigns from DoSomething that are accepting entries in October.

(We’ll also donate an additional $1,000 to a Black-led racial justice org of your choosing.) There are so many ways to disrupt racism — for example, 75% of young people say voting is the most important thing we can do. Whether you identify as Black, non-Black POC, or white, we’ve got an easy-to-use guide to start the conversation and earn a chance to win a $1,000 scholarship plus unlock a $1,000 donation.

Description: Young people (Gen Z + Millennials) make up the single largest voting bloc for the 2020 election. To use that power, young voters need to show up to the polls. You could win an easy $1,000 scholarship by making sure your friends are ready to vote by checking in with them on how they plan to cast their ballot. Description: You could win an easy $1,000 scholarship by taking a 2-minute quiz to see which racial justice issue you should take action on. Answer a few questions and we’ll give you ways to impact public health, education inequality, criminal justice, and other issues that intersect with racial justice. Take the quiz for the chance to win the $1,000 scholarship. Only applicable for 18 to 25 year olds. Let’s Do This!

$1,000 Easy Scholarship: Make a DIY Mask (No Sewing Required)
Scholarship Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: November 15, 2020
Description: You could win an easy $1,000 scholarship by using our step-by-step guide to make a mask (no sewing required!) to keep yourself, your friends, and your family healthy during COVID. COVID-19 spreads mainly from person-to-person through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs, sneezes, talks, or raises their voice. Upload a photo of the mask you make by November 15th to be entered to win a $1,000 scholarship. (Added bonus: after submitting your photo, you’ll be eligible for a volunteer credit certificate.)

Eligibility Information

While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:

  • US or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
  • 13 to 25 years of age.
