About me…

My name is Donna Phillips. I have been married to my wonderful husband Darryl for 28 years and we have two sons, Dylan and Dustyn. I attended UC Berkeley with a double major in Spanish Literature and Humanities. I began my career as a vocational counselor within the worker’s compensation industry in California until my oldest son Dylan was 4. It was at that time that we decided that I would stay at home and home school our children. I home schooled both boys and taught other home school students classes ranging from Latin to Art and Music until the boys transitioned into public school. about-me-image-2Both of them were testing at a college level before they were in high school. Both of them graduated with high honors, with one scoring within the 92nd percentile and one in the 99th percentile on the ACT. They both went on to receive full academic scholarships totaling over $250,000. As the need arose I began working with friends of the boys and helped them move from the 74th percentile to the 87th and  92nd percentile on the ACT. I am passionate about sharing information regarding the high school to college transition. I have learned A LOT about scholarship searches and about finding the right college match for each student. I am excited to share all that I have learned and achieved!
