There are thousands of scholarships out there. Below you will find many scholarships, most with general eligibility requirements. My goal is to share some lesser-known scholarships with my readers every Saturday.

Description: Scholarship is open to students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, economics or related field who have a GPA of at least 2.5. Applicant must submit an essay on why they would be a good candidate for the scholarship.

ACES Scholarships
Sponsor: American Copy Editors Society (ACES)
Amount: Up to $3,000
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to college juniors and seniors, graduate students, and recent college graduates. Applicant must have a commitment to a career in copy editing, exemplary work and academic achievement, and recommendations from teachers and work supervisors. Students in countries other than the United States may apply as well.

Bella Ballroom Excellence in Performing Arts Scholarship

Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to U.S. undergraduate students who are majoring in Dance, Theater, Music, Performing Arts or a related field. Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0. Applicant must submit a video showcasing their talents in the performing arts.

Bilingual Therapist Graduate Scholarships

Amount: Up to $5,000
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to bilingual graduate students entering the final year of their graduate program, who speak a second language at native or near-native proficiency and are interested in working with bilingual/bicultural children after graduation.

CEA Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to students who have applied to a CEA Study Abroad Program for the Spring semester.

Concerto Competition
Sponsor: United States Marine Band
Amount: Up to $2,500
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Competition is open to high school musicians (grades 9-12) enrolled during the 2019-2020 academic year. Performers of woodwind, brass, or percussion instructions may apply. Applicant must select one of the works listed on the application for their instrument and submit an audio recording of their performance accompanied by piano, band, or orchestra.

Daniels Scholarship Program
Sponsor: Daniels Fund
Amount: Varies
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors from schools in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming. Applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States and demonstrate financial need. Applicant must demonstrate exceptional character, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities.

Frederick J. Krause Scholarship on Health and Disability
Sponsor: American Association on Health and Disability
Amount: $1,000
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to college sophomores, juniors, and seniors who are enrolled full-time and have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Preference will be given to students majoring in public health, disability studies, health promotion or a field related to disability and health.

Hagan Scholarships

Amount: Up to $6,000 each semester
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Scholarships are open to graduating high school seniors with at least a 3.5 GPA and from a rural area (a county with less than 50,000 people). Applicant must live in an eligible state (see website for details – Middle America) and demonstrate financial need.

Homelight Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to current college students who are studying in fields related to home design (Architecture, Interior Design), Home Building (Construction, Urban Planning), Housing and Economic Studies (Sociology, Economics), and other related fields.

James Alan Cox Foundation Scholarships
Sponsor: James Alan Cox Foundation for Student Photojournalists
Amount: $2,500 for college students and digital camera for high school students
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to college, technical school and graduate school students who are studying photography or photojournalism. Applicant must submit five digital images for still photography submissions or two videos, with a maximum duration of three minutes, for video submissions. High school students wanting to participate should only send in still photography.

Jeanne E. Bray Memorial Scholarship Awards Program
Sponsor: National Rifle Association (NRA)
Amount: Up to $5,000 for a maximum of four years
Closing Date: November 15, 2019
Description: Scholarship is open to current adult or junior members of the NRA and the son or daughter of current peace officer who is a member of the NRA, deceased full-time peace officer who lost life in performance of assigned duties and was a member of the NRA, a retired peace officer who was a member of the NRA, or peace officer who was disabled as a result of a line of duty incident who is a member of the NRA.

Jungle Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to current college students in the United States who are studying in the fields of Business, Entrepreneurship or Computer Science. Applicant must provide an elevator pitch for a SaaS or ecommerce related idea.

Description: Scholarship is open to women who are the primary financial support for themselves and their dependents. Applicant must be enrolled in or has been accepted to a vocational/skills training program or an undergraduate degree program.

Description: Scholarship is open to current college students, or teachers looking to go back to school, who are pursuing degrees or certification to teach persons with intellectual disabilities.

War Veterans Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to persons on active duty in the uniformed military services, to honorably discharged U.S. military veterans (including Reservists and National Guard personnel) of the Enduring Freedom-Afghanistan or Iraqi Freedom Operations who are currently enrolled and attending classes in an Undergraduate program part-time or full-time in an eligible STEM major degree program at an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.
