ACT prep packages – One-on-One Sessions $2000
Test Prep using The Official ACT Prep Guide and online resources from the makers of the ACT. I assess the student’s strengths and weaknesses using their previous ACT, or I can administer a diagnostic test to determine which areas they need to focus on. In addition to general test-taking tips and proven strategies for each subject, I provide structured practice problems, mini-tests, and complete practice tests. This helps students feel better prepared for the actual test.
We will cover each subject and practice mastering the concepts, emphasizing time management because the ACT has tight time constraints.
I work in 1.5-hour sessions 2 to 3 times a week, depending on how well the student works independently. The total length of the prep session will depend on how much time we have before the next test and how well the student progresses.
SAT Test Prep Packages – One-on-One Sessions $2000
I work in 1.5-hour sessions 2 to 3 times a week, depending on how well the student works independently. The total length of the prep session will depend on how much time we have before the next test and how well the student progresses. Since the SAT can be either an online or paper test, we have updated our test-taking strategies to accommodate the adaptive nature of the online test. I have put together comprehensive study guides for all three subject areas. I have compiled information from hours of reading and studying the best resources, including College Board, Kaplan, Princeton Review, SAT for Dummies, and Barron’s. I have also researched and found online member resources that I can allow my students to use. Combined with the complete practice tests I give my students, my SAT prep has successfully improved their scores.
PSAT and ACT or SAT Prep combination package $3000
This program will provide PSAT training in preparation for the ACT date (In their junior year) to qualify for National Merit. PSAT training will be provided only to students who, after an initial diagnostic, score high enough to be in range to improve National Merit status. Once the PSAT is taken in Oct, we will proceed to ACT or SAT prep sessions.
**After the eight weeks are completed and the student has taken his/her test, I will continue working with the student at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE if he/she plans to take the SAT/ACT again to achieve a better score!
