Do you like making a difference in your school or community? If you do, DoSomething has many campaigns to make a difference, and for participating, you will be entered to win a scholarship! Below are campaigns from DoSomething that are accepting entries in January.

Share A Card and Support a Friend
Scholarship Amount: $5,000
Closing Date: January 6, 2020; January 7-23, 2020
How to enter: You could win an easy $5,000 scholarship just by sharing a card to support one of your friends! Pick a friend and share a card with our text keyword on it. When they text in, we’ll send them our easy guide on professional development and building community to help make their dreams a reality. By sharing, you’ll automatically enter to win a $5,000 scholarship! Plus, both you and your friend can apply for The Live Màs Scholarship, which offers up to $25,000 internship opportunities, and so much more.

Teens for Jeans: Collect Jeans for Local Youth Experiencing Homelessness
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: January 22, 2020
About: Almost 40% of people experiencing homelessness in the United States are under 18. One item they commonly request in homeless shelters is a pair of jeans.
How to enter: Recruit your friends and classmates to donate their gently-used jeans! Teens for Jeans is a nationwide youth-led drive to collect jeans for young people in homeless shelters. Before we collect the jeans, we need people to join the drive. Sign up for Teens for Jeans and encourage friends to do the same. The more people from your school that sign up, the higher your chances of winning a scholarship!

Huddle for Heroes: Make a Card of Appreciation or Letter for Military Service Members, Veterans, and their Families 
Scholarship Amount: $2,500
Closing Date: February 8, 2020
About: Beyond everything they do to keep us safe, military service members make the additional sacrifice of spending long periods of time away from family and friends.
How to enter: Use your creativity (and our easy guide) to make an appreciation card for military service members, veterans and their families. You’ll help them feel connected to home *and* automatically enter to win a $2,500 scholarship. Let’s Do This!

Eligibility Information

While there is no GPA, test score, or essay requirements, there are some eligibility requirements students must meet to enter any of the above scholarship opportunities:

  • US or Canadian citizens, regardless of residence OR reside in the U.S. or Canada.
  • 13 to 25 years of age.

The above scholarship contests are easy to enter and you’ll be making a difference. Check them out and participate before the closing dates.
